PURPOSE: To reduce wave energy directed at a water area sheet pile wall structure, and to enhance the degree of tranquility on a water area side. ;CONSTITUTION: At a position distant from the front of a water area structure 1, a large number of water bottom ground driving members 4, which comprise a sheet pile main body 2 and joints 3 on both sides of the sheet pile, are driven into a water bottom ground 5 in such a state that their adjacent joints 3 are made to be engaged with each other to constitute a water area sheet pile wall structure 6. In the front of the water area sheet pile wall structure, a large number of post-shaped members 7 are driven into the water bottom ground 5 on both directions leaving a spacing between them to connect the upper part of a diagonal member 8, which extends slantingly downward and forward from the upper part of the sheet pile main body 2, to the upper part of the sheet pile main body 2 and the upper part of the post-shaped member 7 with a connection member 9. The upper part of the joint 3 is made lower than the upper art of the sheet pile main body 2 where a slit is installed between the upper arts of the adjacent sheet pile main bodies 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
