PURPOSE: To enable extremely smooth rolling control taking advantage of free swinging motion of a balance arm, to enable the accurate rolling control even on a field having large unevenness by expanding the controllable rolling range and to enable the selective operation of two kinds of rolling controls having different control ranges according to the degree of unevenness. ;CONSTITUTION: A side cylinder 23 is attached to each of the right and left 2nd connection rods 22 for connecting a balance arm 11 to a driving wheel 8. The forced rolling control based on the alternative action of the side cylinders and the passive rolling control based on the free swinging motion of the balance arm 11 are performed in combined state. The passive rolling control is exclusively and alternatively allowed by a cylinder lock mechanism 24 to lock the side cylinder 23 while allowing the swinging motion of the balance arm 11.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
