A method and apparatus for compensating a voltage errorcaused by a dead time of a motor driving inverter outputscommand current, generates command voltage by proportionallyintegrating the command current on a basis of a starting pointin which a polarity of current being applied to a motor isvaried, converts the command voltage to a control signal in apulse width modulator, and transmits the command voltage tothe inverter, whereby a current distortion occurring around azero current becomes minimized and a torque ripple becomesdecreased in accordance therewith.
