METHOD FOR PREPARING BIODEGRADABLE FILMS FROM PLANT-BASED RAW MATERIALS

There is provided a method for preparing biodegradable filmsfrom plant-based raw materials in the form of carbohydrateswhich method is continuous and carried out in one step. Inthe process the plant-based raw materials are modified andplastified and the films are prepared without interruptionand in one step. The advantages of the invention reside inreduced shear stress of the starch molecules and thus in theimproved properties of the films as well as in thecost-efficient, time-, energy- and space-saving manufacture.
