The invention relates to an incubation method and a device belonging theretofor continuous incubation of eggs of all fowl species. The method ischaracterized in that the incubating egg is randomly placed on egg carrierswithout a predetermined storage position. In addition, the incubating egg isbrought to an optimal and stable incubating position with the assistance ofthe shape of the openings of the egg receivers (3), the egg carriers (2), thebases (7) of the racks (1) and an alternating front and backward movement of areversible movement. The incubating egg is guided on the peripheral side withan upward pointing air bubble into the incubating position.
