FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: treatment is effected with bifungicidal preparation containing strain of spore bacterium-antagonist Bacillus subtilis. Optimum results are obtained with 30 to 130 g of preparation per 1 g of seeds depending on their size and roughness of their surface. Treated seeds are immediately dried by one of known techniques at 40-50 C to moisture content 12-14%. Bifungicidal preparation is prepared by mixing polyvinylacetate emulsion and biologically-active substances, in particular, mixture from culture broth containing Bacillus subtilis strain with concentration 106-107 clones in 1 ml, filler (sterile chalk or dolomite) and aqueous diluent (water or aqueous solution of substances nontoxic for seeds and bacteria). Bacillus subtilis strain is cultured in liquid sterile nutrient medium containing 4% of corn bran and 0.3% of chalk on shaker or fermenter at 30 ± 1 C for 24-36 hr. Preparation components are mixed in following amounts, wt %: polyvinylacetate emulsion 20 ± 2, culture broth 20 ± 2, aqueous diluent 20 ± 2, filler - the balance. As aqueous diluent, in particular, nontoxic dye is used. EFFECT: increased infection protection of seeds, accelerated their germination, and increased crop capacity. 5 cl, 2 tbl, 2 ex
