The cooling element (e.g. a Peltier element) or the heating element (4) is connected to an electricity source (S) by means of a plug connection. The garment (e.g. a jacket or trousers) can have two layers, one of which is a woven layer (5) featuring the heating element (4) in the form of electrically conductive wires woven in at regular intervals. Garments can be combined to form outfits and the invention also covers a means of locomotion (skis, roller skate, pram, sailing boat) with a generator driven via a friction wheel or a propeller. Used by e.g. motor cyclists, skiers, snow boarders, infants in prams etc. to provide constant heat or the alternative of cooling.
