The heating system, to heat fuel oil, has an electrical heater (6) in conductive contact with the oil flow channel. The oil flow channel is a pipe (4), with a circular cross section, containing a longitudinal heat distribution element (7) shrouded by an outer heat distributor (5), which is heated through a thick layer resistance (6) forming the heater. The inner distributor (7) extends axially in the oil channel, over the outer heat distributor (5), as a porous ceramic unit or a foamed polymer or other suitable foamed material.
