Bubble separator, in particular for a liquid spectrally analyzer

Inside a cavitied block (1) pref. of glass, gas bubbles are removed from flowing liq. for the purpose of spectral analysis in establishing charges in light absorption by the liq. after contact with gas. Tangential arrival of test liq. form a pipe (5) spanning a cylindrical sepn. chamber (2) produces rotary sheet effects esp. at roughened chamber surfaces causing gas to rise towards the upper chamber outlet (4). The lower chamber section (6) has a wall whose rib corrugations (7) cause turbulence reducing liq. rotation. Rotation is further reduced when the liq. enters an aligned lower and thicker extertion (8) with an oval cross section whose major axis is vertically aligned. A still thinner extention (9) inclined by the same approx. 30 deg. angle removes final bubbles before liq. enters the analysis (17) for photomatric testing. USE - For analysing gas contents in ppn. or ppb range without interference by residual bubbles in the test liq.
