The invention relates to a composite profiled section having a thermal cut-off, obtained by crimping of the strips of polyamide (3) on the metallic strips (1, 2). A profiled section comprises a groove which is functional (15) for the guidance of the functional members, which is delimited by a flange (8) carried by a crimping of the fillets (7), offset with respect to the face of the profile. This increases the compactness of the composite profiled section, while benefiting from a functional groove 10 of the precise shape and dimensions adapted to house the standard elements known to equip the sections of the carpentry.
