The invention concerns a seismic probe (70) comprising, integral with its body (71) or mounted detachable thereon, a device sensing (86) the direction and intensity of the earth's magnetic field, for determining the spatial orientation of its seismic cell (81) connected through a two-path amplifying chain to a surface computer unit by a double transmission system with analog channel and frequency modulation channel particular to each path. This invention is useful for manufacturers of seismic probes, users concerned with seismic risks or local fractures and movements above the ground or underground.
