This new method makes an item of "about town" professional work clothing. It is designed for intensive use and frequent cleaning, taking the form of a jacket especially, e.g. the blazer type, for either sex. In novel design, at most, four different starting materials are used. These can be washed industrially. They have similar cleaning behaviour, and corresponding useful lives. Material used is solely 100% polyester fibre. Alternatively it is polyester-cotton, predominantly of polyester. All parts turned back, are oversewn. All internal seams, irrespective of visibility, are oversewn, turned-back and top stitched, and all pocket openings are reinforced at the ends of the binding (4) by a triangular termination (6). Also claimed is the corresponding garment.
