Dietetic and cosmetic compositions containing a pectin and a carotenoid, glucosinolate, and/or sulforaphan

Dietetic and cosmetic compositions comprising: (a) at least one heteropolysaccharide; and (b) a carotenoid or a glucosinolate and/or sulforaphan and their mixtures. The heteropolysaccharide is preferably a polygalactouronic acid or its ester, especially a pectin. The preferred carotenoid is lycopene. The glucosinolate and/or sulforaphan is preferably obtained from broccoli. The preferred compositions contain 40 - 90%, especially 60 - 80% heteropolysaccharide and 10 - 60%, especially 20 - 40% carotenoid or glucosinolate and/or sulforaphan or their mixtures.
