Recording unit for collecting views in market research

The unit allows automated collection of views from members of the public. The device consists of a rectangular box (1A) which may be mounted on the wall, esp. near the entrance to a building with public access. It includes a display (2) showing a visual message on a display screen (2A), using liquid crystal diodes. This is programmed by an electronic system, controlled either directly by a keyboard or by an IR remote control having a keypad. The unit is used by a person wishing to express an opinion and includes a sensor detecting the presence of a person at the unit, and a tape recorder able to record a spoken view. Indicator diodes may be provided to show the operating mode of the recording unit.
