The particles to be measured circulate in a flat channel (5) within a transparent container (4) and are illuminated by a laser (2, 3). The light from the transparent container (4) is received by a video camera (7) with a charge coupled matricial detector (11) and the resulting signal is processed (8) using Fourier transformations to determine the granulometric composition
