PURPOSE:To judge the defective parts of a sensor and a receiving part quickly and simply by changing the connecting state of the sensor and the receiving part, and measuring the difference between the receiving strengths of the respective states. The plug 4P is turned by 180 deg. as shown by arrows and can be connected in the inverted state up and down and right and left (inverse connection). For judging the defective parts of the ultrasonic piezoelectric transducer and the tranceiver circuit, the array probe is arranged so as to face a body under test in the regular connecting state, and the mode is switched to the inspecting mode.
