The present invention relates to a multi-sectioned liquid delivery device (6) and a treatment dock for use in assaying a target molecule. The multi-sectioned liquid delivery device (6) takes the form of a hollow syringe (9), the interior of which is provided with multiple individual compartments (8) which separately store various liquids. The device has a piercing element (7) located at one end, and a nozzle (10) and valve (11) at the other.
