ALGAECIDE/GERMICIDE FOR CULTIVATED LAVER AND METHOD FOR TREATING CULTIVATED LAVER USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an algaecide/germicide exerting excellent algicidal/ germicidal effect using both a p-oxybenzoic ester and an acid treatment agent together, having no problem with handleability or phase separation caused by the rise in viscosity of the treatment liquid even during operation at low temperature in winter, and also having no problem with hydrolysis of the p- oxybenzoic ester due to the acid, and to provide a method for treating cultivated laver using the above-mentioned algaecide/germicide. ;SOLUTION: This method for treating caltivated laver comprises the following steps: mixing an acid treatment agent with a p-benzoic acid preparation comprising a p-oxybenzoic ester, an alcohol, a polyvinyl alcohol and water, at an appropriate mixing ratio, and as necessary, diluting the mixture with seawater or the like to make a treatment liquid, and soaking or passing cultivated laver or a cultivation equipment such as laver nets adhered with laver, with or through the treatment liquid to contact the laver with the treatment liquid.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
