Spinel unfired refractories

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain spinel-based unburned refractories capable of drying at a low temp. and having superior strength characteristics in the temp. range from room temp. to a high temp. CONSTITUTION:Sodium aluminate is added to refractory stock based on alumina- magnesia spinel by 0.5-10 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the stock to obtain the objective spinel-based unburned refractories contg. sodium aluminate functioning as a binder, exhibiting strength at a temp. between room temp. and about 100 deg.C and having stable high strength up to such a high temp. as 1,200 deg.C.
