PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method for a thin slope face protective block for a steep slope capable of reducing the whole work cost of construction work by thinning the protective block for a face of slope of a cut of the steep slope and a face of slope of banking, and using an inexpensive block with an easily manufacturable simple structure.;SOLUTION: When installing a thin slope face protective block 2 unable to self-stand on a cut inclined face 10 of a steep slope, a spacer capable of adjusting an interval with the cut inclined face 10 is detachably installed on an upper header of the block 2, and a lower header of the block 2 is adjusted to an upper header of an already installed block 8 to be temporarily installed by adjusting the spacer.
