PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute correction for conveying a print head to a printing position by a method wherein a shift between a logical value of a distance from a top of a passbook to a top of a page mark in a specification and an actually measured value measured by means of a scanner is analyzed and the analyzed shift is used. SOLUTION: A host device 1 outputs an operation instruction such as suction of a medium, printing and the like to a main CPU 2 when printing operation to a passbook or the like is executed. The main CPU 2 executes the operation required from the host device 1 and transmits the executed result to the host device. A memory 4 that stores image data read by a scanner 3 and a printing position of a page mark is connected to the main CPU 2. A conveying CPU 5 is connected to the main CPU 2 via an interface. After the conveying CPU 5 receives an instruction of operating conveyance of the medium from the main CPU 2, it controls a conveying motor to execute the conveyance of the medium and transmits the executed result to the main CPU 2.
