PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for providing an IC card security interface that provides an IC card interface, that can flexibly deal with various applications requiring security processing of an IC card and to provide a storage medium with an IC card security interface provision program stored therein. ;SOLUTION: This interface is used between an IC card and an external device or between a security processing means, and an application within the IC card. A command is generated by revising the values of the following types of information depending on the application and the command is used for the security processing. The considered types of information are security processing type information designating a security processing type, data input destination information denoting the input destination of data which are an object of security processing, key input destination information denoting the input destination of a key used for security processing, output destination information denoting the output destination of the result of the security processing and data used for the security processing or a command which includes storage information including processing result information.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
