Namely, the mode of LAR processing is switched in accordance with the input sentence and the LAR processing of the changed mode is executed while monitoring a current task. Or, the mode of the LAR processing is changed in accordance with operator's necessity and the processing of the changed mode is executed. The LAR processing mode is at least one processing selected from sentence input processing, word input processing and document input processing. The mode is switched based on a menu and the contents of the menu and its start timing are associated with the current task and the input sentence.
