PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically set a playing key with a simple utilization procedure without relying upon a personal card or personal remote controller of a KARAOKE sing-along machine.;SOLUTION: This machine has a compass measurement mode for measuring the user's compass. In this mode, the user's singing voices from a microphone 26 are analyzed and the compass classification code corresponding to the compass classification model to which the user's compass corresponds is displayed on the screen of a display 34 and is announced to the user. When the machine receives the compass classification code together with the request for a musical piece from the user through a remote control transmitter 14 and an operation panel 18, the machine captures the main melody compass information of this musical piece prior to the playing of the musical piece.
