AGENT FOR RESTORING HYDROPHILICITY OF PHOTOCATALYTIC HYDROPHILIC COATING FILM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an agent used to easily remove adherent contaminants such as organic substances from a photocatalytic hydrophilic coating film by dissolving a nonionic surfactant in a medium comprising a water-soluble solvent and/or water. ;SOLUTION: This agent is prepared desirably by diluting at least 0.01 mass % nonionic surfactant with a water-soluble solvent and/or water. The nonionic surfactant is particularly desirably a polyethylene glycol type nonionic surfactant, more particularly, a higher alcohol/polyoxyethylene oxide adduct, a polyhydric alcohol type nonionic surfactant/polyethylene adduct, or a fluorine- containing nonionic surfactant/polyethylene oxide adduct (especially, a perfluoroalkenyl polyoxyethylene ether). These materials can be used singly or in combination. The agent has the function of quickly restoring the hydrophilicity of a photocatalytic hydrophilic coating film and of alleviating the inhibition of hydrophilicity by the product of photocatalyzed decomposition.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
