PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an incontinence sensor capable of being washed, dried and repeatedly used and adaptable to a sheet, a fabric diaper, an incontinence protector and a diaper cover by weaving two or more lines of conductive fibers serving as electrodes at intervals in a fabric material to form the incontinence sensor. ;SOLUTION: A sheet 1 is formed with a woven or knit texture (sheet body) 2, at least two or more nearly parallel conductive fibers (metal threads) are woven or knit in the texture 2 to form electrodes 3, 4, and the sheet 1 itself is used as an incontinence sensor. Resistance detecting means detecting the change of resistance are connected to the electrodes 3, 4 to form an incontinence detecting device. When the sheet 1 absorbs moisture and a current flows due to a short circuit between the electrodes 3, 4 caused by the moisture, the current is detected by the resistance detecting means, and incontinence is detected and reported to a user or a helper from an informing means.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
