PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably give the aimed good flatness to a hot-rolled steel strip in the wide range of steel kinds by constituting a skin-pass mill with a rolling mill, a leveler device arranging specific number of leveler rolls in a zigzag state disposed at the downstream side of the rolling mill and bridle roll or tension reel at the outlet side.;SOLUTION: At least seven sets of leveler rolls are disposed in the zigzag state. In the skin-pass mill composed of a pay-off reel 1, the rolling mill 2, leveler device 4 and tension reel 6, a tension meter roll 3 and a strip thickness and width meter 5 are provided. In the leveler device 4, the upper and the lower leveler rolls are disposed in the zigzag state, and the lower surfaces of the upper leveler rolls set to an upper frame are fixed to the pass line and the lower leveler rolls set to a lower frame are possible to push up to give the steel strip A the pushing force. In the correction to the flatness of the steel strip A, the correcting effect can further be improved by giving the upper and the lower leveler rolls the driving force to compensate the tension difference between the outlet side and the inlet side of the leveler device 4.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
