PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically correct the number of article stocks and to improve workability by storing the date information of incoming dates of articles and stock hold limit dates as article stock information, deleting the article stock information from a memory means after the stock hold limit dates expire, and automatically correct the article stock information. ;SOLUTION: An input device 120, a memory device 100 and a data processing device (computer) 110 are provided. The memory device 100 is provided with a memory section 101 storing the code information and stock hold date information of articles and a memory section 102 storing the code information, incoming dates, number of stocks and stock hold limit dates of stock articles. During an operation, the memory section 101 is retrieved based on the inputted article in/out information to calculate the stock hold limit dates of the in/out articles by the data processing device 110. If the article information having the stock hold limit dates expiring at present is detected by an article stock correcting means 113, this article information is deleted from the memory section 102 of the article stock information, and its content is automatically corrected.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
