PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject colorful fabric with soft touch by twisting inorganic filaments with combustible filaments reversely to the twist of the inorganic filaments to get lower in their twist followed by burning the combustible filaments. ;SOLUTION: This fabric is obtained by the following procedure: inorganic filaments such as stainless steel filaments are twisted with a combustible covering yarn such as rayon filaments reversely to the twist of the former filaments to get lower in twist to afford an intermediate fabric with softness and puffiness; subsequently, the half-finished fabric is subjected to mixed weave and then the combustible covering yarn is burned, alternatively, the inorganic filaments are impregnated or sprayed with combustible material such as kerosene followed by burning the combustible material, with the result that the inorganic filaments are changed in color.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
