PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve work efficiency by storing kinds of stored articles associated with preset codes in a data storage device. ;SOLUTION: A minimum storage unit apply number Gv and a storage code Ns are temporarily given in an arbitary set to each commodity item. Picking work and sorting work are simulated concerning the period of past about 52 weeks. Thus, the total working amount Tv of the picking work amount and the sorting work amount is calculated. Secondly, the total work amount Tv is stored with a correspondence to the storage code Ns in a first hard disc drive 205A. Further, it is judged wheter simulation for all sets is ended or not. In case of ending, the smallest total work amount Tv is retrieved from the plural total work amounts Tv stored in the first hard disc drive 205A to acquire the storage code Ns corresponding to the total work amount Tv.
