A complex containing arginine silicate and its use in the prevention and treatment of arteriosclerosis, as a dietary supplement and to promote the structural integrity of bones and joints. The arginine silicate complex is synthesized by the combination of potassium arginine and inositol. The complex is administered orally three times daily in an amount ranging from about 250 mg to about 2,500 mg as a preventive or therapeutic agent.
