It shows the chloro -, hydroxy - etalkoxysilanes of polysaccharides or oligosaccharides, as novel polymerisable compounds and which can be crosslinked, and their method of production of new support materials obtained from said derivatives and the silanes of the polysaccharides or derivatives of oligosaccharides chemically grafted by a covalent bond with the support and polymerized and crosslinked in a three-dimensional network, and their method of production, as well as the use of said support materials in the separation or in the preparation of enantiomers, for use in methods of gas chromatography, liquid or supercritical state, by electrophoresis, electrochromatography or by percolation through membranes containing the said support materials.
