Method of detecting a misload of a tube into a volumetric infusion pump by detecting whether interstice is closed and then reversing cam rotation to unload tube

A method of detecting tube misloading is disclosed, consisting of detecting rotation of a cam which effects tube loading. If cam rotation is incorrect the cam is reversed to unload the tube.
