WATERBORNE TRAFFIC PAINTS HAVING IMPROVED FAST DRY CHARACTERISTIC AND METHOD OF PRODUCING TRAFFIC MARKINGS THEREFROM

The present invention is directed to traffic paint compositions, whichdry faster than conventional waterborne traffic paints and to a method ofproducing traffic paint road markings made therefrom. The traffic paintcomposition of the present invention includes a blend of an anionically stabilizedpolymer binder, a polyfunctional amine polymer having an amine and an acidfunctionality therein and an amount of volatile base sufficient to raise the pH ofthe composition to a point where essentially all of the polyfunctional aminepolymer is in a non-ionic state. The traffic paint composition of the presentinvention further provides improved storage stability.
