The object of the invention is to create a games system for use inprofessional card or token table games such as "blackjack" with automatedmonitoring and automatic recording and evaluation of all moves in a game. Thisis achieved by providing a card dispenser with a recognition device torecognise the value of a drawn card (by optical sensing of the card value mark(31) and reflection of it into an image sensor based on a charge-coupleddevice); a games table with photodiodes (52) positioned underneath the baize(51) which, for each set field (53, 54) for the tokens (41) and each layingfield (55, 56) for the cards (3), register the attenuation of the ambientcasino light penetrating the baize whenever a card or token (3, 41) isdeposited or moved above them; a device for automatically sensing the stakes(scanner or RFID system with transmit-receive station and transponder tokens);a computer which operates an electronic data processing program based on thegame rules in order to evaluate all the data on developments in the game fedto it from the functional components of the system; and a screen fordisplaying and monitoring the current state of play including the winnings ofthe participating players.
