The present invention relates to a system for teaching music which is efficient and involves training the memory to sound pitch as well as musical logic reflection during the teaching period that precedes musical theory. This method involves developing the musical memory by learning to perceive the high-pitch musical relationships as a syllabic discourse in the language of the user. This method also involves acquiring skills at the music instrument while using all the sounds of a tempered scale. The study of the music constituent elements involves the creation of semantic reference points for understanding them. The method for writing down a musical text involves graphically representing a sign indicating that a sound belongs to an octave, graphically representing with conventional symbols the musical sounds of a tempered scale in order to obtain a high-pitch diagram, and graphically representing using pulse accents and conventional symbols the rhythmical diagram of the text. The rhythmical and high-pitch diagrams are represented on a single line, while the amount of graphic symbols for representing the high-pitch diagram is determined so as to correspond to the number of sounds in the tempered scale. The pulse accents are previously marked down in a predetermined manner, while the symbols of the musical sounds are represented using the letters of the alphabet.
