A process by which a molded article, especially a ribbed one, consisting mainly of a polycarbonate resin and having a relatively high percentage of hollowness can be obtained so as to have excellent evenness in wall thickness and in which rib formation is easy; and a polycarbonate resin composition for use in the process. The polycarbonate resin composition for gas assist injection molding is a composition which comprises (A) 30 to 100 wt.% polycarbonate resin and (B) 70 to 0 wt.% styrene resin, and in which the ratio of the melt viscosity θH (Pa.sec) as measured at a proper molding temperature and a shear rate of 10 sec-1 to the melt viscosity θL (Pa.sec) as measured at that temperature and a shear rate or 1,000 sec-1, θH/θL, is 5 or higher. The process comprises using the polycarbonate resin composition to produce a blow molding by gas assist injection molding in which the volume of the mold cavity is increased by gas injection under pressure. A molded article produced from the polycarbonate resin composition by the gas assist injection molding process is provided.
