PURPOSE: A digital sound source reproducer with a Zippo lighter type and driving method thereof is provided, which lis tens a digital sound source. CONSTITUTION: A digital sound source reproducer comprises: an external case (112)having the shape of a Zippo lighter, which a design and a color can to be selected; an earphone jack hole (119) to be located at a lower side of the external case (112); a lighter cover to be located at an upper side of the external case (112); a push pin (107) to be located at an upper side of the external case (112); a digital sound source reproducer (113) to be located at an inner portion of the external case (112); an earphone jack (118) to be located at a lower side of the digital sound source reproducer (113); an internet connector (115) to be located at a lower side of the digital sound source reproducer (113); a battery acceptive portion (117) for accepting a battery (110); and an open and close sensing portion (106) for sensing the open and the close of the lighter cover(101). Thereby, it is possible to prevent the loss of the unnecessary battery.
