APPARATUS FOR MEASURING SWIRL AND TUMBLE FLOW OF COMBUSTION CHAMBER

PURPOSE: A measurer for swirl and tumble flows in a combustion chamber is provided to measure accurate data by simultaneously measuring the swirl and tumble flows through one device. CONSTITUTION: In a swirl and tumble flow measurer, plural impeller members individually rotating are coaxially arranged and installed in a cylinder(1) for a test. A torque sensor is attached to each impeller member. The plural impeller members(6,6a,6b,6c) are rotated upon swirl and tumble. Herein, a torque sensor senses a rotation amount and sends a rotation amount signal. The rotation torque of the impeller member is shown on an output device. The rotation amount of the plural impeller members is complexly measured and sensed and outputted by the torque sensor. Accordingly, the swirl and tumble flow is three-dimensionally measured as if applied to an actual vehicle.
