DEVICE AND METHOD FOR SENSING OF OPERATING OF SWIRL GENERATION VALVE IN LEAN BURN ENGINE

PURPOSE: A device and a method for detecting operation of a swirl generating valve are provided to decide opened state of the swirl generating valve. CONSTITUTION: An engine start state, a lean burn traveling, or an idle state is decided for closing a swirl generating valve. In case of a normally closed state of the swirl generating valve, a first sensor is in an on state. By the on state of the first sensor, an off state of a second sensor is decided. Otherwise, the swirl generating valve is decided as an abnormal state for turning on a check engine. In case of an other state than the engine start state, the lean burn traveling, or the idle state, the swirl generating valve is opened. Then, the on state of the second sensor and the off state of the first sensor are decided. Otherwise, the swirl generating valve is decided as an abnormal state for turning on the check engine.
