SUBSTANCE: invention describes the method of isolation of derivative of hexaazaisowurtzitan containing acyl group that involves: (1) preparing the composition system containing: (a) mixed solvent consisting of at least the first one solvent taken among the group involving water and carboxylic acids and at least the second one solvent taken among the group consisting of organic solvents containing amide or ester group; (b) derivative of hexaazaiso- -wurtzitan containing acyl group of the following formula (I): WAnH(6-n) (I) where n = 4 or 6; each A means independently acyl group having from 1 to 10 carbon atoms; H means hydrogen atom and W means hexavalent residue of hexaazaisowurtzitan of the following formula (2): while at least part of acyl-containing derivative of hexaazaisowurtzitan (b) is dissolved in mixed solvent (a); (II) removal of at least part of the first solvent from composition system to precipitate crystals of acyl-containing derivative of hexaazaisowurtzitan (c); and (III) isolation of precipitated crystals from composition system.
