FIELD: dismantling of defective railway wheel pairs. SUBSTANCE: the installation has a body in the form of a hoisting table with hoisting and longitudinal feed drives. The longitudinal feed drive is provided with a rod connected to a bracket. A carriage is fixed to the hoisting table. The carriage is accommodates a hydraulic cylinder with a limit stop in the form of a cup with a flange on one end. The other end of the cup is attached to the body of the hydraulic cylinder coaxially to the latter. The bracket is fixed to the carriage and has cylindrical and shaped sections. Hinge-mounted on the bracket cylindrical section are swinging grips, having drives for their turning. Each drive is hinge-joined to one end of the bracket shaped section, and the other - to the grip. The axes of rotation are parallel with the axis of the hydraulic cylinder. The flange of the limit stop is engageable with the bracket cylindrical section and swinging grips.
