Preventing evaporator icing in refrigeration units with open access areas involves reducing quantity of ambient air causing ice deposits by changing shape of circulated air suction point
The method involves reducing the quantity of ambient air causing ice deposits by changing the shape of the circulated air suction point (7) and hence enabling the ambient air flow to be dried. For refrigeration units with night covers or hinged covers, drying units are mounted parallel to the evaporator (4) and can be operated in bypass and in parallel mode.
