Compensating for out-of-parallel conditions between adjacent surfaces of two bodies involves bringing surfaces into contact, bringing them into parallel contact, moving them apart
Compensating for out-of-parallel conditions between adjacent surfaces of two bodies involves bringing surfaces into contact, bringing them into parallel contact, moving them apart
The method involves moving the first body (2.1) on a gymbal suspension about two rotation axes and a second body (3.1) in a displacement direction towards the first body until the surfaces touch at one or more points. The movement is continued with a small force until the surfaces are parallel and in contact. The first body is fixed in position and the second body is moved away from the first body until the parallel surfaces are no longer touching. Fine adjustment can take place in this position. An Independent claim is also included for an arrangement for implementing the method.
