An infinitely variable transmission with a wide range of gear ratios and with improved efficiency has the two split into three parallel paths and recombined for the output drive. One of the drives is a variable hydraulic drive while the other two torque paths are covered by differential drives (D1,D2). One of the drives covers low speeds and the other drive covers higher speeds. The different combinations of the three drives provides the range of transmission ratios.
