An injection nozzle (5) for a further component discharges into the hot melt (3) channel (2), in the direction of flow, immediately before the hot channel nozzle (4). An Independent claim is included for the corresponding process in which the additional component is injected into the hot channel just ahead of the hot channel nozzle (4) using the injection nozzle (5) described. Preferred features: Introduction of the further component, is coaxial with the hot channel. Longitudinal axes of the further component nozzle (5) and hot channel nozzle (4) coincide. A first section of the channel runs horizontally, a second, vertically, near the discharge (4). The injection nozzle opening is coaxial with the vertical section of channel. In a development, detail of the channel leading to the point of e.g. further component injection is described. It runs in a plate, in a plane above the main injection channel. Further details of this channel are provided. The component added, is a gas, air or a plastic melt.
