An image data display device for displaying image data available in a data transmission network, such as Internet etc., includes a video-panel display unit (1) based on 4 by 3 separate panels (2), the ratio of 4:3 giving sufficient primary resolution of the video signal. A command input unit (not shown) is provided for input of display command signals, addressed to the video-panel display unit (1), into the Internet, for which purpose a conventional computer, using modified UNIX-system soft wear, can be used. A control unit integrated into the frame of the display unit (1) includes a CPU-unit (3) for operating the video panel display unit (1) by supplying converted image signals to it from the video unit (6), the CPU-unit (3) being connected to the display unit (1) via the video unit (6) which is in the form of a graphics card and a video multiplexer (7).
