Modifying the toughness of hardened resin systems (A) comprises adding 5-90, preferably 5-60 and especially 10-20, weight parts, per 100 parts (A) of a polyurethane (PU). PU has been subjected to hydrothermal degradation and has content of acetone-insolubles below 50%.
