Field-assemblable optical-fibre pluggable connector includes a pluggable module (28) comprising at least one frontal part-cage or frame (40) for mounting of a plug-pin (30) with a receptacle (32) for an end (20) of an optical fibre, which is fixed in the receptacle by adhesive material (49). The adhesive material (49) is formed from a optically (light) curable glue (50), and the pluggable module (28) is transparent to light of those wavelengths which initiate and effect curing of the glue (50), which is hardened by light fed into the receptacle (32), after insertion of the end (20) of the optical fibre.
