The intermediate strap store for a strapping machine has a strap feeder reel (7) and reversing rollers, some of which have fixed axles and some mobile axles. The strap (8) is fed from a roller with a fixed axle to another with mobile axle and turned round. A first (24, 28) and second (31, 32) set of rollers are attached to different axles (23, 30) which can be moved independently.
